Good turn out for the AGM at the club

The Club’s AGM was held on Thursday 15th November and it was good to see a healthy cross section of members in attendance, from some of the club stalwarts to some of our newer members.

The Chairman reported on a successful 2018 season and also went through the club’s exciting plans to develop the adjacent land into a training ground and academy, incorporating a new 4 bay net facility. The club’s accounts for the year to 30 September were approved, showing an overall loss of £13,000 reflecting the significant expenditure on improving the clubhouse (in particular electricity re-wiring, new toilets and kitchen improvements). After adjusting for these one-off costs, the loss for the year was just over £2,000. The accumulated fund (effectively our cash reserves) at the end of the year was £22,500.

The club committee and captains for 2018/19 were confirmed as follows:

President - Peter Kearns
Chairman - Ian Dyson
Secretary - Tony Garton
Treasurer - Ian Dyson (supported by Mike Roberts)
Colts Chairman - Ken Rose
Cricket Development Manager - Matt Joblin
Membership secretary - Jim Greig
Fixture secretary - Jason Melling
Welfare Officer - Louise Sutherland

1st XI captain - Adam Dyson
2nd XI captain - Matt Baker
3rd XI captain - To be decided
Sunday captain - Dave Everest

Graham Nicholas was appointed as a vice-president of the club.
