The season begins with the 3s debut in the Surrey Downs League, followed by the Swans first match next Wednesday and the 1s and 2s the following week

After pre-season training and friendlies, the league season begins this Saturday when the 3s kick off their debut season in the Surrey Downs League with an away match at Horsley and Send. It’s great to have the 3s back in action after a two year gap and, under the youthful leadership of Joel Friend, the team is looking forward to pushing for promotion this summer.

The 3s debut will be quickly followed by the Leatherhead Swans opening match in the Surrey Slam against Effingham Ships on Wednesday 8th May at 6pm. Sponsored by Bytes Software, the team will be lead by Fin Rose and will also be looking forward to making a mark in their debut season in this exciting competition.

The following weekend sees the first matches in the Surrey Championship, with the 1s away at Camberley and the 2s at home to Epsom, with both teams looking to build on the successes of last season. A combined 1/2s side play Byfleet this Saturday in a final warm up game, following a good win against Epsom last weekend, when Jason Evans hit the club’s first century of the season. The match at Byfleet will see the debut of James Grady, our Australian overseas player, who arrived in the country this week.

As ever, all supporters are welcome at Fetcham Grove, so please do come down to watch and have a beverage or two.......
