Introduction
Courses
These courses are run by the Foundation and are short introductory sessions aimed at covering the basics for both umpiring and scoring. The courses cost just £10 and will equip participants with all they need to know in order to get started. Over the course of the next couple of weeks we will be adding further courses across the county, with some specific courses targeting women as well. Details can be found here and dates have been confirmed at Wimbledon and Leatherhead so far:

Alongside this on the scoring side, the ECB has released a free online module that can be accessed here. There is also a free online introductory course for umpires which can be accessed here.
ECB Umpire Training – Face to Face
I am pleased to let you know what we now have 3 ECB Umpire training courses confirmed in Surrey over the coming months. The courses are taking place as follows:
- Sunday
26th April – 10am-4.30pm at Rutlish School in Merton
- Sunday
10th May – 10am-4.30pm at St Peter’s Catholic College,
Guildford
- Sunday
28th June - 10am-4.30pm at Rutlish School in Merton

Please note we offer 50% bursaries (worth £35) towards the cost of these
courses (paid on completion) for candidates from specific target groups –
female candidates, candidates with a disability, candidates from diverse ethnic
backgrounds and those experiencing financial hardship. You

**Please note we are also hoping to release a women’s only course in the coming weeks with the provisional date of Saturday 11th July in the Esher area. Further details to follow in due course.**
