The Leatherhead Cricket Club 200 Club

These terms apply to the Leatherhead Cricket Club (“LCC”) 200 Club. The 200 Club is a small society lottery run to raise funds for LCC, including investment in facilities and support for cricket and related club activities. The LCC 200 Club is registered as a Small Society Lottery with Mole Valley District Council.

1. Eligibility

Entry is open to members of Leatherhead Cricket Club who are aged 18 or over. Tickets must not be sold to, or by, anyone under 18. LCC may ask for proof of age before accepting or continuing an entry.

2. Cost and entries

Each entry costs £4 per month and gives the participant one number in that month’s draw. Participants may hold up to 10, numbers subject to availability. A participant may request a preferred number, but numbers are allocated subject to availability.

3. Club year and joining

The 200 Club year runs from 1 May to 30 April. The annual subscription for one number is £48. A person joining after 1 May will pay £4 multiplied by the number of remaining monthly draws in that Club year.

4. Payment and entry cut-off

Payments must be made to the bank account nominated by LCC. Entry into a monthly draw is conditional on cleared funds being received by the 20th day of that month. No entry is valid unless payment has been made before the relevant draw cut-off.

5. Monthly draw

One draw will usually take place on the 25th of each month. If this is not practicable, LCC may hold the draw on another date as soon as reasonably practicable. Only numbers validly entered for that month are eligible to win.

6. How winners are selected

The draw will be made using a random number generator or another fair and auditable random process approved by LCC.

7. Use of proceeds

Net proceeds will be applied to the purposes of LCC. In normal operation, approximately 50% of annual income will be retained by the Club for its purposes.

8. Publication of results

Winning numbers and winner names may be published on the LCC website, app, email communications, or other club channels. Winners will also be notified using the contact details held by LCC.

9. Payment of prizes

Prizes will be paid by bank transfer only, and only to the person recorded by LCC as holding the winning number. LCC will aim to make payment within 7 days of receiving the information needed to process the transfer.

10. Unclaimed prizes

If a winner cannot be contacted or does not provide payment details, LCC will hold the prize for 6 months from the date of the draw. If still unclaimed after that period, the prize will be applied to LCC funds, subject to applicable law.

11. Cancellation

A participant may cancel at any time by giving at least one month’s written notice to LCC and cancelling any standing order with their bank. Except where required by law, subscriptions already paid are non-refundable.

12. Data protection

By entering the 200 Club, participants agree that LCC may process their personal data for administration of the lottery, including maintaining records, contacting winners, and publishing winner names and numbers. LCC will handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law.

13. Final decisions and changes

LCC’s decisions on the administration of the 200 Club will be final, except where the law or a regulatory requirement provides otherwise. LCC may amend these terms where reasonably necessary for proper administration or legal compliance, and the current version will be made available by the Club.
